Welcome

Nitzan Shalit - Reflexology

About me

My name is Nitzan, and I'm a Reflexologist. I chose to study and give Reflexology sessionsbecause of my positive experiences with the technique. For me, Reflexology is a great tool that helps experience deep relaxation that allows the body to recover, and promotes health and well-being. And the best part? All of this is achieved while the patient simply lays down and enjoys the soothing touch! I invite you to give yourself a chance to relax, leave behind the daily stress and allow health and harmony to enter your life.

Did you know the whole body reflects in the feet?

Mostly everything in our physical and emotional body can be treated by special pressure points in the foot. The Reflexology technique is based on this theory, making it possible to help the body to regain balance through the pressure point and massage technique.

As a Reflexologist, I observe the foot of the patient, and I “read” it like a map. Different signs will allow me to understand your bodily functions better, and spot specific organs and systems that need attention. Combined with the information you shared with me, I'll start the therapy session, tailor made for you.
During the massage, all you need to do is lay down comfortably, relax, and enjoy the special massage.

For me as a Reflexologist, the feet are a wonderful portal for healing the full body. They are the basis of our lives, they are the ones that take all our weight. With time and gravity, different toxins sink down to the feet, which makes them sore and “tired”. Using the special Reflexology massage, I can help you improve the blood flow in your feet and entire body, and help increase your health and vitality.

Is it good for me?

We all stand on our feet every day. We lean on them and use them to go out and achieve our goals in life. Our feet get built up with pain, tension, and sometimes different toxins too. Reflexology can help you improve the flow of blood and lymph fluids from your feet up. A variety of bodily functions can improve thanks to Reflexology: respiratory system, digestion, endocrine system, muscles and joints, circulatory system and more.

A modern technique with ancient roots.

The many advantages of massaging the feet have been known since antiquity. The ancient cultures of Egypt, India and China all developed some technique for massaging the feet. In India and East Asia, it still is a major part of the common health routine, seen as an integral part of holistic medicine. For the modern west, it was Doctor W. Fitzgerald that realized in the year 1913 that applying pressure to specific parts of the foot allows his patients to successfully withstand minor chirurgical procedures without needing pain relievers or anesthetics. This sparked curiosity in many people's minds. The term ‘reflexology’ was coined by nurse E. D. Ingham who noticed how different areas of the foot correspond to different areas of the body.
